Our team of doctors have unique personalities, strengths, and specialties. Every day at the veterinary practice we see different shapes and sizes of pets. We also see different shapes and sizes of illness. As a veterinarian, we received extensive training on critical thinking to help with different illnesses.

Our group of doctors are a true team. If one has a weakness another has a strength. All together giveing you the pet owner a balanced and supported opinion from multiple doctors.

Dr. Tim Guild

Dr. Guild, a proud native of Northern Michigan, has deep roots in the state he loves. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, he pursued his passion for veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Now an esteemed orthopedic surgeon at Animal Hospital Maple Orchard, Dr. Guild is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. At home, he enjoys a fulfilling life with his wife, Betsy, and their three young children.

Dr. Becca Lust

Dr. Becca, originally from Rochester, MI, has always had a passion for animals and veterinary care. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. After spending four years in mixed animal practices in Wisconsin, she joined Animal Hospital Maple Orchard in 2021. Dr. Becca is thrilled to be back in her home state, where she is eager to build lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets. Outside of work, she loves to travel and enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Natalie Hershenson

Dr. Hershenson's journey in veterinary medicine is as inspiring as it is impressive. Raised between the vibrant cities of Chicago, Illinois, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, she cultivated a deep love for animals from an early age. Her academic pursuits led her to Kalamazoo College, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, laying a strong foundation for her future endeavors.

Driven by her unwavering commitment to animal welfare, Dr. Hershenson pursued her dream at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. It was here that she honed her skills and embraced her calling to serve the furry companions and their devoted guardians.

Outside the confines of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Hershenson finds solace and joy in the company of her beloved horses. With three majestic companions by her side, two of which she competes with nationally on the hunter jumper circuit, she exemplifies dedication and excellence both in and out of the arena.

But amidst her bustling equestrian pursuits, Dr. Hershenson's heart belongs to Clover, her faithful English Cream Golden Retriever. Whether frolicking in the barn or lounging on the couch during lazy afternoons, Clover remains Dr. Hershenson's cherished confidante and steadfast companion.

Dr. Hershenson's professional focus lies predominantly in internal medicine, where her expertise and empathy converge to make a profound impact on the lives of animals and their devoted human companions. With a fervent desire to alleviate suffering and promote well-being, she tirelessly endeavors to make a difference, one furry friend at a time.

Dr. Mario Semma

Dr. Mario Semma is a dedicated and recently graduated veterinarian from St. George’s University, with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree earned in May 2024. He completed his clinical rotations at the University of Florida, where he gained hands-on experience in various aspects of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Semma has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery, wound management, and emergency care. His expertise includes performing canine and feline spays, neuters, as well as forelimb and hindlimb amputations. He is passionate about expanding his surgical skills and is eager to take on new challenges in veterinary surgery.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wayne State University and extensive experience as a veterinary assistant at multiple animal hospitals, Dr. Semma combines his medical knowledge with a deep understanding of client communication and patient care. His background also includes experience in pharmaceutical settings and leadership roles in coaching and supervising.

Dr. Semma is committed to advancing his clinical abilities and providing the highest quality care to his patients, while also ensuring a positive experience for their owners.
